Exorcisms for returning soldiers with PTSD?

This is a podcast called SNAP JUDGEMENTS that was on NPR. This episode is called "OMENS" and deals with a graduate student doing research on PTSD and veteran suicides. She ends up going to a really dark place with the demonic. What do you think?

  2. I wonder why this trend is only prevalent in veterans

  3. It's sad to see that these veterans have to go through yet another war, only this time with demons.

  4. I found this podcast to be really interesting. The music intensified the creepy vibe. Caleb's descriptions were very eerie. The concept of performing exorcisms on PTSD suffering veterans was completely new to me so I enjoyed it!

  6. I found the podcast as a whole to be super super intriguing. The content itself was disturbing of course but nonetheless interesting. I'm kind of paranoid i'm gonna see a bat now though aha

  7. Who would have known some veterans suffering from PTSD had encountered demonic apparitions/presences and had to go to a exorcism camp for healing purposes? Certainly not me beforehand. Very interesting podcast!

    1. I agree, I have heard about PTSD in veterans after war but I have not heard about demonic apparitions. I though it was interesting though how it kind of rubbed off on the woman from being around the veteran for a year. But as soon as she stopped looking into it then her own apparitions stopped. In this pod cast I noticed a lot of symbolism from birds...very interesting.

  9. I enjoyed this a lot because it was very different and not something im used to. I feel like there is mores stories like this but people are too afraid to recall them or dont believe it themselves.

  15. PTSD is a very serious mental illness that affects a fair amount of returning soldiers. I'm a bit skeptic when it comes to exorcism but I'm very supportive of the fact that it can help veterans deal with PTSD. I also really enjoyed the podcast.

  17. This is extremely disturbing and gives way to many questions. Could demons exist? Are they related to good are evil? If evil, does this mean they go where there is evil? Does this confirm that war grounds are evil? Could this just be a psychological problem like PTSD and not something spiritual or otherworldly? It is also just plain creepy and I couldn't finish hearing the entire thing if I want to get some sleep tonight.

  20. This podcast truly made you appreciate the fact that you are not in these veterans shoes after coming from war and seeing your whole squad die in front of you knowing you couldn't do a thing. It later begins to hunt them seeing things that's not there hearing voices and things such as demons. Its pretty interesting to know what goes on in there head after war.
