It's very interesting how deeply rooted Confucianism is integrated into Chinese culture. I had heard of many of these Chinese customs before but I did not know that they were due to Confucianism.
I enjoyed watching this video and it was insightful and reinforced what I learned about Confucianism in the in class presentation of the chapter. It was nice to see the harmony in China in the clips.
Confucianism is a very interesting topic. This video defined the definition very well. China is a country that suffers a lot due to overpopulation and sweatshops. But in this video we can see the peace and harmony that the Chinese culture is really about.
The influence of confucianism on Chinese reminds me of Christianity in Western society but stronger. Understanding confucianism helps me understand why the Chinese act the way they do.
I tend to believe that Confucianism influenced a lot of other societies since its been around for so long. People tend to follow examples from other nations.
This video really changed my view of what Native Americans believed in, I did not know that they believed in one Creator, I thought they were more polytheistic.

I wasn't always quite sure of what Confucianism really consisted of but this video was very insightful. Their code of contact does have many parts that could be great to use in day to day life, I'm not exactly sure if having a whole government based on that is beneficial though.
I think that china does not have much diversity and there for they really dont have much to fight about. china has verry odd trends but each one is accepted in their society. I do like however how much respect is given to teachers, but I do not believe that there are not younger people who wish to obtain more respect. I've never been to china so this is just my opinion. My mother is engaged to a man from china and although his family is Buddhist they definitely follow the laws of Confucianism. I think that Confucianism really is more like a moral code in china than a religion.
I remember learning about ancient Chinese history and coming across Confucianism. The social hierarchy and the Mandate of Heaven played a big part on cultivating the fundamentals and principles that are still presets in contemporary Chinese code of conduct. It is interesting to see how such an old way of thinking is still relevant and used in modern times.
This video was very interesting because it was about something I have never learned of before. It was eye opening learning how this religion influences Chinese society.
