I was impressed by the fact that working in study groups shows to be a better means of studying than alone. I personally work better in groups but I thought it was sometimes a huge distraction. Now I think that it just depends on who is in your study group and if the group is good at working together or they don't get anything done.
These tips are extremely useful and I will make sure to implement them into my daily routine in order to better my efficiency in college. I was very impressed by how short yet clearly the information in the video was presented -Hector Piedra
I appreciate the Video, as it shows that you care for your students and want them to succeed. The tips are a helpful reminder that good habits breed success and to not procrastinate.
one of the things that really help is to red the chapter prior to the class, and if your professor have power points, then print them and add some notes to it, so when you go to class you have knowledge of what the professor is going to talk about. Of course, you will make more notes during class, and review after.
I found tip #2 to be the most helpful. When I am in a lecture I don't use my laptop or iPad. I have caught myself wandering off and getting distracted while the professor is speaking. Even if I think I'm multitasking, I know I have missed some important information because I was not fully concentrated.
