Published on Apr 5, 2012

In which John Green teaches you the history of Christianity, from the beginnings of Judaism and the development of monotheism, right up to Paul and how Christianity stormed the Roman Empire in just a few hundred years. Along the way, John will cover Abram/Abraham, the Covenant, the Roman Occupation of Judea, and the birth, life, death and legacy of Jesus of Nazareth. No flame wars! Let's keep the commentary civil.

  2. I looked up more videos about religion from John Green and I can say he sparks up great conversation. He is very knowledgeable. He says that we all live in the same world with different religions, however we wouldn't step outside our comfort zone to help each other out even though we feel as though we need to make the world a better place. Hmm interesting. you should check the video out.

  3. This video is awesome. It does a great job explaining the history of Christianity in an easy and entertaining way. This is important because when people think about a course on religion they think it is boring, but this is a great way to learn an important topic in an entertaining way.

  4. This video is very informational yet entertaining. The questions I liked, which John Green answers later, are: why did a small group of people believe Jesus was the Messiah and why did this believe become so widespread. Also, prior to watching this video I didn't know that Jews at that time had a believe that a savior would come in a time of trouble yet they still didn't believe in Jesus and that was because Jesus became a threat to the people in power.

  6. John Green did a very good job on his crash course. I have learned a lot from this crash course. It was very interesting and intriguing. It doesn't get boring and is fast paced but not too fast to where you get lost. Also, the graphics helps see what is happening.
