For some reason I don't picture shamans with that clothing, but something less extravagant and less color. I would be scared to if I heard that throat singing out of nowhere. Why is it that a lot of different religious that uses bones to make a predictions or read different things. Why are bird trees so important? I see a lot of similarities between Shamanism and Santeria. Chewing hot coals, I can't imagine someone voluntarily doing that.
It is interesting how much culture plays such a role in religion. Looking at more indigenous religions I find myself wondering how could someone believe in such a religious practice. I bet the indigenous people are also looking at me and my faith wondering the same exact thing. Its also very interesting how popular religions are in different parts of the world and country. For example being from Ohio I never heard of santeria until I came down to Miami last year.

Shamans are really majestic and strange especially with their unique practices and rituals. I would like to encounter a Shaman and view their sacred dances. The idea of Shamanism and their spiritual awareness is intriguing to view.
It's interesting for them to say the soul leaves the shaman's body so the spirit can enter. Furthermore, it is interesting that there are shamans living among us in the city! A shaman kind of reminds me of a psychic person who advertises hand-readings. It really is quite interesting how they have so much insight on things.
Wow it's crazy how culture can be placed in religion. I think shamanism is a very interesting topic to learn. Shamans are very unique when it comes to the practices they play.
It is so fascinating that when the shaman is undergoing a trance their soul leaves the body so that room can be made for the spirit. It is mind blowing that their soul can be exchanged with another. If I ever get the chance in the future I love to see a shamanic ritual.
I found this video very interesting, some of the practices they use are very different when compared to mine, however, at the end of it all, all religions have their own practices and beliefs and are interesting to learn about.
I think it is so interesting how there are still cultures that believe in shamans even in today's modern world. I think its great that ancient beliefs have been preserved in some parts of the world.
this video was different in the sense that i am not used to seeing shamans on the daily. I found it very interesting how the shaman can have his soul leave his body so a sprit can enter his body and do what it needs to.
Its interesting to see how after decades of globalization, there are still numerous cultures that remain true to their traditions and that keep practicing their own rituals, like the shamans shown in the video who have power over the spiritual world.
is fascinating how shamanism is perform, and how this traditions are kept between their communities. I know their practices comes from the old times, and each tribe has their own secrets.
Its so interesting how these people perceive these interpreters . They literally wholeheartedly believe these people speak to god. But i guess it isn't that foreign of a concept when you compare to a priest.
I was not a believer in shaman before by any means. But I got to say watching this video certainly blow my my mind off. Shamans indeed play a big role in some ancient cultures. --Han Zhang
Are religions a product of the culture or the other way around? Shamanism may not be as popular as it used to be but shamanism is the only Religion I know where the gods actually do speak to us mortals.
