  7. I feel sad that this man will be the last shaman in his community. However, I am happy that someone was able to make a video about his practices and share it on YouTube for the world to see.

  9. I find shamans to be a fairly interesting part of religion, and having this video provide me more insight into the Iban shamans practices, duties, etc. I don't find it hard to believe that it seems to be dying off when I consider the affects of globalization on religion.

  10. Shamans are very important people in numerous cultures. They are the designated spiritual professionals that have access to both the natural and spiritual worlds. Before taking the course, I had no previous knowledge of the functions of shamans but I am now able to better understand just how important is their role within their own cultures.

  20. The fact that he will be the last shaman in the village is sad because the job of a shaman believe it or not in my opinion is very important, however, I can see why not everyone can be one. This is a gift and not everyone has the characteristics to be Shaman.
