I find impressive how diverse the world can be just with its different religions. They all are different in the sense that they accomplish distinct steps and different cults. For example the dance, movements and the costumes that Sufis do and wear. All the Hasidic Jews boys singing reunited, and santeros dancing to the rhythm of the drums. But what they have in common is that all of the religions do this in order to worship what they believe in, their Gods or mystical forces.
This was an interesting video to watch because it is from a culture and religion that I am not familiar with so it was cool to have a quick peek at one of their rituals. I noticed that at first, there seemed to be some sort of unspoken "leader" of the group. Before the three men started dancing in a continuous circle, they each bowed to this "leader" with their arms crossed over their chest, and once he bowed back, they began their dance. I was also observant of the way that there seemed to be some sort of format to the dance. They each started circling with their arms still crossed over their chest, and slowly worked their hands down towards their sides, and slowly brought them up while dancing. Interesting video to get a little insight of another culture.
I found that the video on Native American dancing was absolutely beautiful. It was more than just the music that was being played, and the dance itself. It was all the thought that they put behind every move that they were making in the dance. The outfit that the dancer was wearing had a bunch of different colors and patterns to it. Every different move that the dancer was making was telling a story. If one was paying more attention to the video it shows all these different shapes and patterns that one can make up a story from it. I really recommend to watch this video.
This dance exemplifies how Sufi's seek direct contact with god or a divine spirit. This seems to be accomplished through things like meditation and this dance.
Out of the Santeria, sufi's whirling, christians dancing, and native americans, the native americans definitely captured my eyes more. These were all similar in the fact that they were all sorts of dances and included a level of music but completely different in interpretation and representation. The native american dance was so vibrant, not uniform, free, and included a lot of symbolism. perhaps those aspects of the dance were what made it more appealing to me.
I find it every interesting on how different cultures pay their respect and honor their morals through different traditions. If we all took out the time to understand each culture, we might make more connections than assumed and this will help us lessen chaos throughout America.

I really like hearing the diversity of the music in which religions dance to, such as Santeria's music, the music of Native Americans, etc. I also like how they pour their passions and beliefs into their dances and express their devotion to their religion through movements in accordance to the music.
I found it really interesting how the Sufi's start off with the white garb but then at the end bow and place a black Shaw over themselves.
