I have to say I agree with most of the tips except for #3, in my case, being in a study groups makes it harder to study because I get easily distracted.
My favorite tip from the video would have to be the fourth one (having a positive attitude about learning). Having a positive attitude encourages me to take on new challenges with less stress and worries. An extremely helpful tip that I would like to add is to establish a routine. Sometimes it’s quite overwhelming to balance work and school, but it'll be much easier if you maintain a schedule that fits your needs. Thank you for sharing such a helpful post!
I have to agree with these five steps. However, in classes such as math and science, I do not participate study groups because it is easier for me to pick up concepts alone.
I practice and agree with all five of these steps, and for me I only do study groups if I myself am struggling and therefore work with people who know it very well, or vice versa.
It's very useful, especially for us freshmen, to watch these kind of videos. It guides you to pass successfully a college class. I found it very helpful. Thank you!
Whenever I've tried to study with my friends, we usually work for around 30 minutes and end up taking a 3 hour break(lol). So study groups aren't the best idea for me but everything else was very useful.
Multitasking is definitely not a way to learn. Most students do not use their privileged position of using cellphones productively, like recording or using relevant apps, but text and watch videos instead. I think this is spreading like an epidemic in academia and I am glad that I had professors who had zero tolerance policies towards this.
I really like the tip about having a positive attitude when learning. A lot of people see the process of going to school as a chore or another thing they need to check off the list. But when one changes their view school can become very enriching.
Awesome tips! The hints were very helpful! I completely agree with the fact that missing class means missing important information. I have a pet peeve about missing any class time. The only tip that kind of through me off was number 3 about forming study groups. I work better online. I don’t really like to be in study groups because I need to stress about what the others are doing and how will it affect me. Number four was my favorite. Positivity is key!

ReplyDeleteNice motivational video. It's also been used by my professors several times in my previous classes
ReplyDeleteA good attitude is very important, without one you won't be as motivated.
